Challenge

The UIC Leadership Advisory Board (LAB), comprised exclusively of CEOs, presidents, and business owners, serves to provide leaders from varied industry backgrounds with the optimal environment to address obstacles by learning more about complicated business issues and increasing their overall levels of leadership effectiveness. As a recently established entity, The UIC Leadership Advisory Board needed to quickly establish a web home, one that they could use as a tool to develop growth and to promote the group’s findings. Jeremy Wicks, the group’s Vice President, had an additional challenge. Since the LAB is an entity of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), the website had to look and feel similar to the University’s website, but could vary slightly. Jeremy needed a site that would meet the University’s requirements, but could also stand apart and demand attention.

Solution

Because of the busy schedules of the Leadership Advisory Board members, the LAB website needed to be completed nearly autonomously. Given only a copy document and the style guidelines set forth by the University of Illinois at Chicago, the creative team was successful in delivering a website which met the needs of the group, the requirements of the University, and which maintains an individual and unique online presence. The UIC LAB maintains an ongoing relationship with their Hyperspace Technologies team so that they can enjoy cost-efficient and time-efficient updates to the website.
