Challenge
Sarah Wilcox, President of My Health and Money, approached us with an idea. She wanted to create a web-based, advocate for healthcare consumers. My Health and Money, would strive to reduce out of pocket expenses for the general public. It would be a subscription service to maintain their independence from partner companies. The idea involved offering savings and discounts on an array of healthcare costs, such as medications through a mail service pharmacy, diagnostic tests, wellness practitioners, and other services. By providing research findings on a wealth of information, consumers would have a place to comparison shop when seeking the best treatments, physicians, and facilities.
Solution
Like WALSAA, we started from scratch with My Health and Money, creating an identity for them. Next, we needed to designed a website that supported the functionality Sarah envisioned while maintaining ease-of-use and meaningful navigation. Other considerations included: being able to support a large amount of information and user generated content; updating user information before proceeding to PayPal and the ability to disseminate information quickly. Fortunately, after a short week of brainstorming in Chicago, our two teams effectively molded together for a period of 6 months, to plan, design, develop, and launch My Health and Money. Today, we continue to work with My Health and Money to maintain and expand what has quickly become an enterprise-level, subscription-based, healthcare savings liaison to the world.
