When business and marketing entrepreneur, Cary A. Filsinger, teamed up with Chicago designer and custom furniture manufacturer, Scott Arthur Yerkey, they created a multi-line showroom and art gallery based in Chicago’s world-famous Merchandise Mart Design Center. Shortly after opening, Filsinger Chicago was set to host a national showroom event for designers. It became immediately necessary for them to have an online presence, both to serve as a contact and communications hub for participating parties and guests, as well as an interactive showroom for sorting and displaying various pieces of art and furniture from a multitude of collections. Because Filsinger Chicago aggregates and sells unique pieces from many vendors and locations, the company’s collection of art and furniture changes on a daily basis. Cary needed a website that would be finished in time for the store opening, be unique enough to catch the attention of the art community, and allow for quick and easy updates, all on a limited budget.
